Academic & ESL Programs for International Students

Squaw Valley Academy has rolling enrollment, and students are welcome to apply for the school year and for summer school. International students who submit a TOEFL score of 80 or above are not required to interview via Skype for an English language assessment.

We realize that the decision to send your child to a boarding school so far from home is not easy. We also realize that you are making this decision with love for your child and as an investment in his or her future.

SVA is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. Squaw Valley Academy strives to guide students through their academic, social, and cultural successes. Through the years we have created a safe and nurturing community for our students.

Squaw Valley Academy is proud of our 100% university and four-year college acceptances for all our graduates, with an average of three acceptances per senior. SVA is an official SAT, ACT, and TOEFL Junior test site.

International students may enroll in core academic courses and ESL courses. SVA offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes in our award-winning ESL curriculum, and student ESL progress is measured through weekly assessments.

Students return to the classroom Sunday-Thursday evenings for a two-hour supervised study hall.
