MA: Elementary Education

Meghan is new to Squaw Valley Academy and the Truckee/Tahoe area. She recently moved from Washington D.C., where she completed a 4 year teaching program called Urban Teachers. She received a dual masters in Elementary Education and Special Education, and has certification and licensure in both areas, as well.

During her time in D.C., she taught Kindergarten and 1st grade at an EL school, which specializes in project-based learning. She looks forward to supporting students and teachers as the Director of Academic Support with her different experiences and hopes to incorporate more project based learning in classrooms.

Prior to D.C., Meghan graduated from Haverford College with a Major in History and Minor in Italian. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys hiking with her partner, Kayla, and dog Reagan, photography, trying new restaurants, and improving her skiing skills on the slopes.
