Kathleen Ruffle

MA: TESOL – focus on Special Education, Teachers College, Columbia University

Kathleen is from the east coast and received a BA in English from the University of New Hampshire. After college she joined the Peace Corps as an ESL teacher in Botswana, Southern Africa. This experience sparked her career in teaching and led her to obtain her MA in TESOL with a focus in Special Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She moved out to California “just to try it out” 15 years ago, and has been a Learning Support Specialist in public, independent and international schools ever since. She just relocated to Tahoe this past summer with her husband and two young girls and is excited to run, bike and nordic ski in these beautiful mountains.
