Athletics and physical activity are an essential part of any complete educational program. In recent years, there have been numerous studies demonstrating that physical fitness has a profoundly positive impact on mental acuity and the ability to learn. At SVA, we are blessed with both an inspiring environment and a climate that allows us to indulge in a wide variety of sporting activities throughout the year. As long as students maintain academic and behavioral standards, they are encouraged to engage in daily athletics of their choosing.

During the fall semester, students take part in hiking, fishing, biking, skateboarding, rock climbing, swimming, weightlifting, and countless other physical activities. Additionally, the Squaw Valley Academy Soccer Team holds its league season during the fall. Additional organized sports include basketball during the winter, and club soccer during the spring semester.

With an Olympic-level ski resort just minutes from our campus, SVA students may ski or snowboard seven days per week during winter months. The entire school enjoys the slopes on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the winter.
